Lane Beougher is a Program Manager for the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission. As Ohio’s State Architect, Lane led efforts to reform Ohio’s public construction law through Construction Manager at Risk and Design-Build project delivery. He was also a key participant in development of its web-based project management system and building information modeling standards. Lane served in various leadership positions with the Construction Specifications Institute, including nearly a decade on its board of directors, serving as president from 2015 to 2016. Lane served on the advisory group for AIA’s Public Architects Committee from 2009 to 2012, concluding service as chair in 2012. He joined AIA’s Documents Committee in 2014, and is the current vice chair. Lane chaired a subcommittee that updated AIA’s Construction Manager family of standard agreements released in 2019. Lane began serving on the NIBS Board of Directors in 2016 and serves on the Finance and Awards Committees and as Liaison to the Building Envelope Technology and Environment Council.
